Does it snow in Hawaii?

We have the Blessing of forming a friendship with a very special family Lester, Robin and their wonderful daughter Abigail, who happen to live in Hawaii... While speaking on the phone, Lester mentions that they are taking 2 1/2 yr old Abigail to see the snow..."it snows in Hawaii???"... We beleive him completely... the following information is for those who do not know Lester...
The answer is "yes". It snows here every year, but only at the very summits of our 3 tallest volcanoes (Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea and Haleakala). The snow level almost never gets below 9000 feet in Hawaii during the winter, but since these mountains are taller than 13,000 feet, 13,000 feet, and 10,000 feet, respectively, they get dusted with snow a few times a year. It rarely stays on the ground for more than a few days though. Although the rest of the island chain enjoys warm tropical weather the entire year-round, there have been "freak" cold storms a few times this century that have brought local snow storms down to as low as 3000 to 4000 feet. This snow has melted very quickly, however

Being grateful comes from a life choice and a life event

Last week was a only 7 days just like any other week of the year. Saturday we went to friends home for a pot luck dinner... Great food awesome people...it was enjoyable and the air was filled with excitement. We all share a passion in a networking home based business, so you can imagine the different personalities and the fun we have. We have not seen each other in a few months being busy with family, life, business, and preparing for the holidays. Shared stories of life experiences, and future goals and plans are often the topic of conversation. A refreshing change from the media. On our drive home we discussed how we have been blessed with such great friends and a business we love. Gratitude puts you in a mind frame of peaceful bliss and appreciation. Arriving home spending a few minutes with family Jim watches some television and I am off mediate a few minutes in gratitude to GOD for HIS love and all my blessings.
Favorite time to wake up for me is around 5:30 am. I enjoy starting my day with readings from the Bible and also encouraging books. On this morning as I was getting up my cell phone rang, it was one of my sons. This is Sunday morning at 5:30 ish AM... he must be just getting ready to go to sleep !!! it still Saturday night for him !!! Answering the phone, as soon as he said Mom, I knew was something not right. He had been at a birthday party which continued and carried over to the casino. He was walking out to his vehicle as he approached his vehicle two women who had also been leaving said "Hey you dropped something" he turned to look around then he felt a man behind him with something cold and hard pressed against his head. Saying do not turn around, do not move he reached in his pocket took his money and fled in a waiting car. After contacting security and making a report. He was on his way home and he called. At that moment all emotions were on over drive he was venting , calm for what just happened. He was now at his home and was going to go to bed. Repeating and truly feeling Thankful to God he was not harmed, I was grateful, yet I could not shake the mixed emotions I was having... How violated, angry, fearful, and yet grateful it was not worse. This is normally a time for me to reflect and anticipate my day. Filled with Glory to God and encouraging words of wisdom from authors such as Dani Johnson, Wayne Dyer, Tony Robbins to name a few. So it hits me that when times are going great I consider it a Blessings and I am in appreciation. When times are not going great I ask for strength, guidance and wisdom from the lesson. When something happens to us personally we all deal with it in our own way. Yet when something happens to someone we love, and when that someone is your child who came through you... well it is as I am sure most would agree feelings of anything but "GODLY" towards the offender. Does not matter that they are full grown adults!!! I began to pray for the person who robbed my son at gun point... yet it was not a honest heart felt thought. I then thought what is happening here, what is the greater GOoD here? He was not hurt, and the $1,000.00 although it is a lot of money can be replaced. I was grateful and knew it was a blessing he was unharmed.
The morning continued on ... Family gets up, I tell his sisters about what happened. after the natural questions they both say "Thank GOD he was not hurt." We had plans to go and spend the day with Jim's parents, this would be our Christmas supper. They are 90 and 84, the drive is almost 2 hours listening to Dani Johnson on CD still the thoughts creep in. We spend time talking with parents about they days gone by, seeing the excitiment and pride of sharing time with thier number one son, yet the thoughts kept coming to me about the early phone call. Like a nagging little thought that will not leave. Taking away from this days purpose... I take note of it yet it still naggs...
During supper my son calls me saying He is fine, he is over it nothing can be done about it, he was not hurt so he is just letting it go It is what it is, he then went on to say he does remember paying for drinks and pulling out his money, not being aware of his surroundings. The casino is not a place of high morals or ethics not assuming the guilt, or being judgmental, yet not being of victim mind set. He has heard of others who have been robbed there before.
This brought me to realize that when bad things happen, that is just what they are bad things. Yet reliving it over and over in our minds robs us over and over... I am truly grateful for GODS love and all of HIS Blessings in my life... Now when I share this story with anyone it will be for the benefit of beware, and if something feels wrong LISTEN to your intuition... and always be in Gratitude. Being grateful comes from a life choice and a life event...

Mom and Dad
I had the privilege of driving Mom and Dad from a small town in upstate New York to their winter residence in Zephyrhills Fl this past weekend. This has been an annual journey for the past 35 years.
I lived on the West coast for 24 of these years and re-united with them when Dad had a heart attack in 1999. I had returned from an extend stay in Michigan and went to bed at about 10:00pm. I awoke with hearing Mom yell George, (Dad’s name) at 2:00 am. One hour later my cell phone rang; it was my youngest brother stating Dad’s had a massive heart attack, my reply “I Know”. I called the airline, I had flow over 600,000 miles on during the previous 5 years. And said I need to get on the next flight, I will fly from San Francisco, San Jose, or Oakland, a flight was booked from San Francisco. I left at 6:00 am and arrived in Tampa at 3:00 pm. I immediately went to see Mom and she said I knew you would get here and I was not going to cry until you did.
Dad was transferred to a special cardiac unit in Tampa. He was upset he wasn’t transported by helicopter. A normal ambulance ride did not fit his personality. I spent the next three months in Florida, I was grateful I could. Daily visits and countless hours with Mom and finally Dad could travel back to “home”, upstate New York. I stayed for a few weeks and then returned to California. After resolving personal issue’s I was able to relocate to Florida with my coach, best friend, and my “why”, Denise. We decided to make our home in between both sets of parents. Many unfortunate things occurred during this time, because of “US” we survived and continue to do so.
Since then I have always volunteered to do the driving for Mom and Dad. My two brother’s share, however I ‘m selfish. Just like this last trip, I get them to myself for two and one half days, I hear many children of ages complain about “what about me”. I don’t have the time; I have other things to worry about. We all have 24 hours each and every day, and we choose how to spend those precious hours.
Where ever they want to stop we stop, and we never miss a rest area. Where ever they want to eat and spend the evening, we “Just do it”. The subjects of the conversations repeat daily if not more often, it’s ok. Dad is struggling with aging and dementia and Mom is showing symptoms as well. The most important fact is: we are communicating, parents become child like, the sky is livid blue, the sun rises each morning and this trip was even more special than the last.

Let IT GO

Seemed like a simple and easy enough challenge, 1 day without complaining. No listening to the news, that meant no radio, no TV, no headlines,...no talking politics (I welcomed that) What about interacting with people, when complaining would begin I would first try to just change the subject, if that failed I tried to point out a bright side, if that failed I interjected, humor if that failed, I'd voice my thoughts that no amount of complaining would change the past . I say that I will not be a participant in complaining and would explain my goal . Some would say Thank You, and we continue the conversation . Some would say oh, ok, at first they seemed to take it personal , then we just LET IT GO. Some would say:

I am not complaining I am just venting,
You are living in denial,
You are being selfish by not listening to me.

This lead me to question what is the "definition" of:
Complaining- to express grief, pain, or discontent ,
Venting- to relieve by means of a vent,
Denial-refusal to admit the truth or reality,

Realty-the quality or state of being real,
Selfish- concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself,
I realized that we all have our own dictionary and ways of handling life. By trying to NOT to complain I realized I was complaining... By trying to change directions of a conversation, I was surrendering and caught up in it. If I do not want to hear what I feel is complaining ...I have to just LET IT GO. These people were not holding me captive against my will. By setting my intentions to NOT COMPLAIN I was attracting "COMPLAINING". At best when I would try to change a subject or find a bright side or interject humor I would be pushing against trying to stop something... instead of just LET IT GO. So without further thought I will stop complaining and just LET IT GO.

Are You an Eagle or a Sparrow

In Network marketing, any other Home Based Business or any Business where you are the CEO, there is always an inherit risk. The risk is reduced by following a system: McDonalds’ has a system that you pay a hefty price to learn and you can still get fired if you don’t follow their system. The UPS store, Wendy’s, Merry Maids, ACE Hardware, Liberty Tax service, Subway, Jazzercise and the list goes on, all have their own system. Individuals that buy into these opportunities want independence and Financial Freedom. Are they Eagles or are they Sparrows? I will let you make the decision, perhaps they are smart Eagles that reduce their chance of failure or perhaps they are Sparrows and follow. One thought, these people still have to adhere to a time clock at least in the beginning and with a lot of sweat equity perhaps someday can enjoy their efforts.

True small business owner’s, the local plumber, electrician, dry cleaner, CPA/accounting firm are more representative of entrepreneurship but their Financial gains are generally still limited to their own continued efforts. They stop working and so does their income. Robert Kiyosaki discusses this in his book titled Rich Dad Poor Dad. Think about how the small business owner survives, usually a positive referral from a satisfied customer. This is the basis of a relationship and is passed on via a network. The independent small business owner is closer to an Eagle than a Sparrow.

Everyone Network Market’s in some way or another. Network marketing is developing relationships, receiving and asking for referrals. How many times has someone asked you, where’s good place to eat, is this a movie good, what’s the best way to get to down town, who’s your auto mechanic? You provide a free referral because of a relationship you have with the requesting party. The relationship could have existed 30 seconds or 30 years. In either case, the answer is usually the same. Each Network Marketing company has a system. When you compare each of them, the basics are always the same. Business’s are built on time tested philosophies and practice’s. The aging of America, specifically the Baby Boomer generation reaching retirement age has created many new market opportunities. The Health and Wellness Industry is producing one particular niche. The “Juice” market has exploded with offerings and home based business opportunities. Each week there is a new juice; the juice of the week has a different name, yet similar ingredients. Many discuss “ORAC” value, all natural ingredients and the reason nature provided us with this wonderful berry or fruit. Most of them are of value, why do people purchase different products. Could it be the same reason some drive Chevy’s while others drive Fords and still other Chrysler’s. The Baby Boomer’s want healthy aging and are more willing than previous generations to consider alternatives.

Back to Network Marketing, where Network marketing companies have systems and the sparrows follow the system, organizations realize growth. Sparrows are the foundation; foundations provide support that enables the company to become a sky scrapper. When The Eagle joins a Network Marketing company, understands the basics of the system, remember their all the same, and applies their own existing relationships coupled with their true Entrepreneur skills, the Network Marketing Company Soar’s.

We have been in network marketing since 1997 and still love network marketing ... Unlimited possibilities, in learning and earnings. Unlimited wisdom everywhere. A fellow team leader was sharing with us about a weekend training event, with the masters and we heard something and we are now a little wiser... this nugget came from someone who is new to network marketing. They were doing what they were told to do by a well meaning experienced up line, go to meetings and invite, invite , invite well for them it was not producing results. They tried for several months. Then they began to search out new avenues to expand and grow. After only a few weeks they got results, they found a system that worked for them. It is said that even if you’re on the right road, if you do not keep moving you will be run over. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut... a grave would be safer... difference between a rut, and a grave is ...a grave is only 6 ft deep a rut can get go on forever. I agree that a proven system, training program and structure of goals is the surest, quickest and best way to grow a business. You decide which system works best with you.

We have learned when the JOB market gets unsure many professionals and nonprofessionals look for ways to secure or improve their lifestyle. I have been hearing from Bankers, CEO’s, Business Owners, Investors and hourly employees there is NO Job Security, NO Company retirement plan, NO Social Security, NO depending on Wall Street, NO depending on the Corporate world and their 401 K can just disappear, NO depending on Uncle Sam, Stocks, Bonds, Real Estate.

They are searching for additional streams of income. Who has a few years or the money to go back to school to get a degree to increase chances of a promotion? That is where network marketing has its advantages. No degree required, no previous experience required, all you need is a WHY, an open mind, be teachable, coachable and a company that offers value.

Monday Morning Positive Thoughts

Turn on the TV, radio, pick up a magazine, open an e-mail, talk to the banker, the store clerk, listen to conversation in a coffee shop it is everywhere. Everyone is talking or stressing over the world economy, wondering how they will manage. Waiting for " The worst it has ever been"

My heart goes out to these people as I listen to the fear. I have been afraid, as we all have. I have had utilities disconnected, home in foreclosure, faced bankruptcy, no health insurance, a single mother of 5 children to protect and care for and having no experience in the work force.
I also have no fear and a fruitful memories.

This made me think of the Law of Attraction...Do we truly attract what we think and act upon...DO we bring about what we think about? So what could I learn, read, hear, think and then share.... being more a positive than a negative.
So I began reading, asking, then listening. The media are constantly non stop with the negative prediction of the harder, tougher times ahead...
I want to share with you some of my findings...

Worrying and saving money is not as powerful in attracting more than when with a loving heart giving it away to what inspires you or what you are passionate about. This is the same with time, kind words, and smiles.
Planning for your retirement is not as powerful as living with a grateful heart enjoying today without forfeiting things NOW in hopes and plans for a "safe" planned out future that may never come. No one knows how many days we have left.
If you are going to buy, sell or trade stocks, real estate. coins, stamps etc ...understand they are not a sure investments. Make sure you educate yourself do not entrust your money to a stranger. Understand it is on paper or material object and does require constant action. A sure investment would be to invest in yourself and then take constant action on your ideas.

Money is not the root of evil... lack of money is ... Thinking and acting as if we have a lack of it will cause you to act from a mind set of scarcity. Even in difficult times some people are getting wealthy. Could it be they are acting and thinking from a different mind set. One of abundance and not what they media sells us. Warren Buffet says do the opposite of what others are doing. Napoleon Hills Think and Grow Rich... so together Think, DO and Grow Rich...
So when you spend money on practical things like food, shelter, clothing and education do not have an attachment to it just let it go, be grateful you have it to let go. There are people in this country, in this world who would love to be in your shoes. When you spend money on entertainment or other enjoyment, get excited enjoy what you money can buy.This will increase your happiness level and you will attract more abundance and energy .

When the media start wearing you down Look UP ... It is not lonely at the TOP it is just less crowded... You must believe to achieve... so what is it you believe...
